Effective 2026-10-23 · Iris AI Assistant by Iris AI Assistant
Iris AI Assistant is meant to be a calm place to bring a question, an idea, or an everyday task and think it through in your own words. To do that well, we need to handle some information, and we want to be clear about what that is and what it is not. This Privacy Policy explains how Iris AI Assistant (the developer, referred to here as "we" or "us") handles information when you use the Iris AI Assistant app. It is effective as of 2026-10-23.
The short version
There are no accounts and no sign-in in Iris AI Assistant. You do not give us a name, email address, or password to use the app. When you ask Iris something, your request is sent to our own backend so a response can be generated. Payments go through Apple, and we use Adapty to understand whether a subscription is active and to see how subscriptions are used in aggregate. The sections below explain each of these in more detail.
What you share when you ask Iris something
When you type a question, idea, or task, that text is sent to the servers we operate so the app can produce a response. Those generations are processed on our own backend. They are not routed through an outside AI provider named in this policy. Please be thoughtful about what you include. Iris works best with the details of your question, and it does not need sensitive personal information such as health records, financial account numbers, or other people's private details. If you choose to include that kind of information, it becomes part of the request that is processed to generate your answer.
What we do not collect
Because there are no user accounts, we do not ask for or store a profile tied to your name, email, or phone number. We do not ask you to sign in with any social or third-party login. We do not sell your information, and we do not use your prompts to build an advertising profile about you.
Subscriptions, Apple, and Adapty
If you choose to purchase a subscription or other in-app purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes your payment details. We do not receive or store your card number or billing information. To know whether you have an active subscription and to understand subscription activity, such as purchases, renewals, trials, and cancellations, the app uses Adapty, a subscription management and analytics service. Adapty may receive purchase and subscription status information and technical identifiers related to the app installation so that the right features are unlocked for you. Apple's and Adapty's handling of information is also governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
Why each service is involved
Apple App Store: to distribute the app and to process purchases and subscriptions. Adapty: to confirm subscription status and give us analytics about how subscriptions are performing. Our own backend: to process your requests and return the generated responses. We rely on these services only for these purposes.
How long information is kept
We aim to keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the app, generate responses, keep the service working properly, and meet any legal obligations. Subscription and purchase records held by Apple and Adapty are kept according to their own retention practices.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us about the information we hold that relates to you, and you can ask us to delete it. Because the app does not use accounts, we may need some help from you, such as details about when you used the app or about a purchase, to locate the relevant information. We will respond to reasonable requests in line with applicable law. For information that Apple holds about your purchases, you can also manage your data and subscriptions through your Apple account settings. You can stop all further data processing by the app at any time by no longer using it and deleting it from your device.
Children
Iris AI Assistant is not designed for young children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has shared personal information through the app, please contact us so we can look into it.
When this policy changes
If we update this policy, we will revise the effective date shown here and, where the change is meaningful, try to let you know within the app or on its App Store listing. Continuing to use the app after an update means the revised policy applies.
Reaching us
If you have a question, a concern, or a request about your information, please contact Iris AI Assistant through the support contact provided on the app's App Store listing. We are glad to talk it through. Effective date: 2026-10-23.
