Terms of Use
Effective 2026-10-23 · Iris AI Assistant by Iris AI Assistant
Welcome to Iris AI Assistant. These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and Iris AI Assistant (the developer, referred to here as "we" or "us") for using the Iris AI Assistant app. We have tried to keep them plain and readable. By downloading, opening, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If they do not sit right with you, please do not use the app. These terms are effective as of 2026-10-23.
Agreeing by using the app
Using Iris AI Assistant in any way means you accept these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the app on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for them. The App Store's own terms also apply to your download and use of the app.
What Iris is, and what it is not
Iris is a thinking companion. You can ask in your own words, explore different approaches, and get help working through everyday questions and tasks. Its responses are generated automatically and can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. Please treat what Iris says as a starting point for your own judgment, not as professional advice. For medical, legal, financial, safety, or other important decisions, check with a qualified person.
Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Iris AI Assistant on Apple devices you own or control, in line with these terms and the App Store's usage rules. This licence does not transfer ownership of the app to you.
Using Iris kindly and lawfully
We ask that you use the app in good faith. Please do not use Iris to break the law, to harm, harass, or deceive others, to create content that infringes someone else's rights, or to generate material that is abusive or dangerous. Please also do not try to interfere with our backend, overload or disrupt the service, get around usage limits or subscription checks, or copy, reverse engineer, or resell the app, except where the law clearly allows it. We may limit or end access for uses that go against these terms.
Subscriptions and billing through Apple
Some features may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase. All purchases, billing, and payment processing are handled by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and your Apple account is charged for renewal as described at the time of purchase. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple account's subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies.
Who owns what
The app, including its design, software, name, and branding, belongs to Iris AI Assistant and is protected by intellectual property laws. The questions and text you enter remain yours. As between you and us, you may use the responses Iris generates for you, subject to these terms and to any rights other people may have. You give us permission to process what you enter only as needed to run the app and produce your responses. Because responses are generated automatically, similar outputs may be given to other people, and we cannot promise that any output is unique or free of third-party rights.
No guarantees
We care about making Iris helpful, but we provide the app "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, Iris AI Assistant is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or opportunities, arising from your use of the app or from relying on its responses. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
If these terms change
We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we do, we will change the effective date shown here and, for meaningful changes, try to let you know within the app or on its App Store listing. If you keep using Iris after an update, the revised terms apply to you.
Getting in touch
Questions about these terms are welcome. Please contact Iris AI Assistant through the support contact provided on the app's App Store listing. Effective date: 2026-10-23.
